UK Summer Trumpet Institute
Jenna Veverka is an active musician and teacher in the greater Cincinnati area. She currently freelances as a substitute with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, and Kentucky Symphony Orchestra in addition to frequently performing for various community events such as weddings (as a member of Queen City Musicians), musical theater shows, and church services. Jenna also teaches private brass, woodwind, and piano lessons in Kenwood, OH.
Jenna recently received a M.M. in Music Performance from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (2018) studying under Alan Siebert and Philip Collins. While earning her degree at CCM, she won the Mock Service Band Audition Competition (trumpet division) at the 2017 International Women’s Brass Conference, was awarded an International Trumpet Guild Conference Scholarship for the 2017 graduate division, placed third in the final round of the 2017 National Trumpet Competition with the CCM Trumpet Quartet, and was selected as the trumpet winner of the 2017 CCM Brass Choir solo competition.
She also holds a B.M. in Music Education from Ithaca College (2014) where she studied under Dr. Kim Dunnick and world renowned soloist Carole Dawn Reinhart, during a semester abroad in Vienna. Invested in making an impact on future generations, Jenna co-founded Key of She Brass (2016), an all-female organization that hosts educational events for young girls and brings music to the communities of her hometown, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
